Welcome to another week of the Avenue of Art! You might’ve read Kaelyn’s post today.. a few hours ago.. We were supposed to post AT THE SAME time but timelines can be confusing… So I hope you didn’t mind waiting a few extra hours to see the results for AOA!

I have another song (I wouldn’t call this a song tho) for you to listen to!! and it is…………………

HEDWIG’S THEME!! I have been a lil off on HP and I just finished reading the order of the phoenix a month ago!! I really want to read the entire series soon!! You can expect posts on Harry Pottah this month 😉 (I mean I’ve written posts on 1D so……of course I’l write loads about harry potter..) This theme will be the ringtone of my phone when I get it! TOTALLY.

Let’s get to the results!

We now have 17 participants in total (one wanted out) and 11 participants in the Avenue of Art! I got 6/11 submissions this week, which is pretty AWESOME!!

Let’s see how you’ll be earning points!

Week 1’s challenge was worth 10 points.

If you follow all the rules, you will earn +5 points.

Out of all the submissions we got for a week, Kaelyn and I will be choosing a “Judge’s pick” and that person will get +3 points

Now let’s move onto the……….

Week 2’s challenge was Turn a boring white T-shirt into a colorful Tie-dye T-shirt!

But then I realized that not everyone has a white t-shirt lying around, so I decided to make an exception! I sent out an email to AOA participants saying that they can tie-dye a kerchief or even make a tie-dye painting! (you can mix any kind of paint that isn’t washable easily to use as tie-dye ) but for that, you’ll only get 5 points instead of 10 and you’ll not get the +5 points.. sorry 😦

I got some AMAZING submissions from ALL of you this week!

first one I got was from Krisha!

“I love the idea of this contest and am soo excited to participate. Sadly I was not able to participate in week 1 challenge. So here is my submission. I used pastel colors to give it the summer vibes . Hope you like it and I had lots of fun making this piece of art”

WOW. It looks SO pretty and I love that you’ve used pastel colors! also, great lighting you’ve got there 😉

Next up is….. Lizzie! (she has a blog now! woo-hoo!)

“Here’s my tie dye! This challenge was so fun! XD“

Wait a second… did you just say “XD” ? oh well… (jk) I LOVEEE the pattern you’ve created and I’m glad you had fun making it! that’s why Kaelyn and I decided to do this 😉

The next one is from.. Rebekah!

“I kinda failed. i’m so sad . but its ok cause i had a good time (even though i know i wont win)”

Aw.. don’t be sad!! my tie-dye turned out almost exactly like this😅 it’s great that you had a good time!!

The next one is from Haley!!

” This is my tie-dye “t-shirt”. I drew it with colored pencils! One is the boring white “shirt” before I colored it, the second is the finished product!”

Haley said she didn’t have tie-dye or fabric paint so she did it on a paper! It’s super colorful and creative too! nice job 😉

This is Maggie’s entry!

It’s Maggie @ Chickadee Lover Maggie with my watercolor tie dye submission! This project is called “Summer Rain.”

The name suits the painting perfectly! it looks super pretty!! great job, Maggie!

Last but not least is…. Janya!

“This week’s challenge was really fun to experience, I hope you like it! I’m curious about next week’s challenge. – Janyasmagicalworld”

This one is soo creative!! The little birdiee is also super cute! I like the pastel green too!

Make a pen stand with a fruit-sy theme!!

You cannot do both.. sorry!
